Re: BYOD
This letter is regarding improving our students technology skills and improve our district as a whole by introducing Bring Your Own Device (BYOD). This is a way to bring our district into the twenty first century and allow our students to improve their twenty first skills. This idea has worked in other districts and I feel that it will help our district move to a higher level of educating our students.BYOD is used to reach all students allowing them greater access to exceptional teaching and learning. By creating learning environments that allow students and staff to acquire information in real-time and creatively express what they have learned in a variety of ways, we challenge them to use content knowledge to solve real world problems. Using the tools of today, we prepare each child by helping them to realize their potential for success as a global citizen.
Research has shown that 1:1 technology initiative has improved test scores and students individual achievements. Using technology to engage students in critical thinking, collaboration, and communication. Technology use can also help students interact globally and to be motivated to be better students. Technology also can help teachers and parents have contact with each other. This can create a better partnership between school and home.
Technology is an innovative way to increase the knowledge of students in all grade levels. On a national level technology has proven to increase the ability for students to research topics, and identify informational text,. Therefore, we encourage our district to approve this request.
Thank You In Advance
